Breakfast was exceptionally nice and sensational, truly enjoyed the location.
The hotel was cute, nevertheless I stayed for 3 nights only. Cheerful staff, answered all questions. Its location was very central, right at St Mary's Church. This venue was in a fairly nice area so close to restaurants and pubs, the bar/restaurant and Mermaid Street. It made my trip to Rye a fab experience.

The Tilling Suite at the top features charming decor with cozy furnishings, offering great views of the street below. A good cafe downstairs serves really good sausage rolls and scotch eggs.
Staying on the ground floor can be quite disruptive due to noise from guests entering through the alternate entrance right next to certain rooms. Road noise is also a factor, as well as the creaks and conversations from rooms above, which might disturb light sleepers. Some areas could use a fresh coat of paint, and limited fridge space for perishables is something to consider if you're bringing food.

I thoroughly enjoyed the charming decor throughout the Old Borough Arms. It exuded warmth and character, especially the inviting cafe downstairs where I enjoyed my meals. The accessibility features made it comfortable for seniors like myself.
More support for luggage handling would be helpful.
